I would have to go with nakujua and like he said, you can't go wrong with the truth, the reason why I wont advice you to go with Wendz advice is in professional world and with serious people, unavoidable carcumstances are unacceptable, if you write a letter with that word, you will look unserious and someone who do not know what they're doing. No one want to deal with unreliable and unpredictable person, someone who is visited by unavoidables. On the other hand if you say you have a better offer it actually push your stock up because it means other people see value in you and companies like people who are valuable infact you can come right back to them a year later and they'll like what you bring.
