Why must she choose between education and business why not have both? From what I learned from robert kiyosaki dont spend the principal on liabilities but purchase assets with it. Education is not necessarily an asset in kenya since there are many unemployed degree holders, I would rather she purchases a piece of land and put up a few mabati houses for rental. Like 20 units at 1000 each that way she has both an appreciating asset and an income to finance her education or to save and reinvest in another piece plus rental units etc etc thats how you become wealthy fast
Huh!! You must be today's wazua biggest comedian.
Talk is cheap, very cheap, but reality is something else.
Wish you had even suggested a tuk tuk!
The intricasies involved in purchasing and developing a piece of land can drive one nuts.
And who said mabati is cheap? Have you ever tried to construct a simple cow shed or nyumba ya kuku?
Jeez! it looks cheap wait till you start it.
Do you know the kind of tenants cheap mabati structures attract? short term.wapita njia.
They enter and leave using handcarts when things get tough. The amount of Wear and tear will be something else cz she will be left covering holes on walls.
And why assume that she has 500k at her disposal??
As we keep offering suggestions the money keeps reducing rem!
-She threw a bash so how much d u think she's got left?
-She must have a mother or dad back home that she must thank(say buy them a goat)for struggling to educate her to that level.
-She could be having siblings in school in dire need of school uniforms.
-I believe she has other pressing and personal needs to sort out as well. Those which her meagre salary cannot.
Now put all those into consideration before you talk about plots and mabati.
Ok even if we go plot's way,how much does a useful plot cost?
How much will she be left with after paying some lawyer, title deed blablabla.
Unless she decides to buy a thorny thicket or shrub in some very remote and dry place, I doubt that money will be enough to put up structures that will generate reasonable income.
Education is the key to life.
That is the standard motto in all schools.
"The true measure of a man is how he treats someone who can do him absolutely no good.
