@jamani where did you hear these swap rumours? In offers for compulsory acquisition, the minority must get the same terms as the majority.

Which company took 8 years? EAPI?

Did minority s/holders get dividends in those 8 years?
What is the 'new' buyout price vs the price offered 8 years ago?

Can't remember the company. It was in Zambia if im not wrong. It was a newspaper reporting on a minority shareholder suing the company to buy his shares or something like that. The linked was posted on this thread a while back.

I didnt hear of them anywhere, i just thought and seeing what segman is writing stating that the company will be good and thats what it required, then i ask myself it will be good for whom? he is supposed to be speaking for shareholders but which ones? this lead me to the thought that there could be a merali in the offing only that they will not use the current ownership names.....

Let's also try to be nice smile WPP came into Scan & things improved. smile

Sasawa. smile The price had better be nice smile because a number of things are not adding up and could end up causing a minority shareholders revolt. For instance, couldn’t this puma take us with them to Canaan, like WPP did in Scan?

Like @Jamani, I think the majority shareholders are also getting “shares swap” coz how else can this deal make sense
