This was really sad. Lack of mgt "There are only two emotions in the market, hope & fear. The problem is you hope when you should fear & fear when you should hope: - Jesse Livermore .

Another mismanaged family biz. Did they compensate clients who lost their goods cz it was unfair to continue receiving goods yet the buses were rotting in the yard. Now I know where the old blueband coloured city shuttles originated from. "The true measure of a man is how he treats someone who can do him absolutely no good.

Now I know where the old blueband coloured city shuttles originated from. The other day some clients were complaining on t.v i don't think they were compensated. If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them.

Tis hard, nay impossible, to run a large passenger bus fleet, huh? If I was the CEO of Easy Coach/ Eldoret Express i would very keenly study the many carcases that litter the passenger bus transport landscape: 1)OTC 2)Jogoo Kimakya 3)Ngwareini 4)Stage-coach/KBS 5)Mbukinya (making a comeback) 6) 7)

By the way who were the owners of the Akamba Bus? If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them.

In this day and age, if your competition makes u irrelevant ur done. And this is going to happen in every business, just the same way mobile tech made land-lines irrelevant. one of the tricks to survive is to continuously renew your fleet. Old buses breakdown too often, are uncomfortable which chases clients away. With new buses, clients will always be happy n smiling. Question is, what do you do with the old ones.

@ kenmac and the likes, dont celebrate too soon, old cocks die hard. The courts have rejected the winding up petition. It appears to be a case of family feud( could be similar to Tuskys) The only time you should be looking down on others is when you are helping them up.

Continuously renewing their fleet. Maintaining buses if very good quality. Many companies have come and gone on the Nairobi Mombasa route but Coast Bus has remained for many decades and still going strong.

When buses age they are bought by entrepreneurs who fill them in Muthurwa bus terminus. Most headed to Kayole apparently. I met a former mechanic in Akamba who complained that their dues are yet to be paid. He has a jobless wife and two kids. I hope the case works in favour of employees. Knock hard and it will be opened. Ask and you will be answered. Seek and you shall find.
