This guy has done wonders in his constituency; there has been no news about his good achievement. He is not corruption tainted , he is young educated and I guess he does not have that baggage of inherited politics(not a son of who is who) he has managed the CDF thing so well that I read guys are coming from as far as Zambia to come witness his progress and learn how he has achieved that.
This guy could have done better as a minister of Finance than the rat eating Githae I guess.
Do we need the Uhurus, Rutos, Railas, Mudavadis, or Karuas in Kenya? I guess each and every one of these people has had their problems and I will not write them down. They have had questionable deals in the past and I think they do not fit to be the next president of Kenya. I hope am not the only one considering who to give my vote. The only baggage might be he is from Mt Kenya and he has acquired a chopper. If we overlooked that;
Would you vote for PK?

I will not vote for him.
Reason?Most Kenyans will not and I'm ready to waste my vote!

Just thinking....are votes cast to candidates who do not eventually win wasted? Should we vote the person who we 'think most kenyans will vote for'or should we vote for the person we think is the best candidate?

@Dash there is a typo up there.
I will not vote for a losing candidate,I will rather go for a compromise candidate like UK.

I will not vote for him exactly because he has been so successful at what he does. He has been an excellent manager at constituency level. He has managed his money well and engaged the people of Gatanga in a most productive way. He has not been politicking, instead he has been engaged and has delivered. To me his next logical step should have been Governor of Muranga where his skill set would have been more useful to the larger county because it would require exactly the same kind of management he had perfected at constituency level.

Terrible as this might sound the presidency at this time would require a less managerial and development minded person and more of an enabling, steadying, listening, laid back politicking kind of person. In my opinion a successful president is not exactly the one who does the most but one who prevents things going wrong. He listens, reassures, encourages, discourages, inspires, asks questions, watches constantly and that is why soft intangible attributes like wisdom and integrity mean so much more than managerial abilities. It might actually be desirable for a president to be a bit lazy so that he can allow the people around him to be strong and effective. I think Kibaki has the demeanor of a great president. I think it was Ronald Reagan who said, "It's true that hard work never killed anyone, but I figure, why take the chance." He was quite laid back.

The man who is able to bring out the best in the team around him would make the best president not necessarily the greatest doer.

I'd rather have my vote wasted on him, Tuju is the next best option....

If my candidate doesn't win in an election it doesn't mean my vote was wasted!
Those saying they would rather waste their vote are very very important now that we know we might be going for a run off.

This is utter nonsense!

If you will only vote for the winning candidate; then please cast you vote AFTER the results are announced! That's the only time you will know who the winner is.
