“It is possible to bypass the limitations" Whats the problem if we bypass 35gb or whatever.. Has the word Unlimited lost its meaning? if there is limit or we r not allowed to download beyond 35gb then DONT CALL IT UNLIMITED
Am waiting for their announcement 2morro
Before the official speeds for the unlimited internet was dropped to 128 Kbps, it used to be 512 Kbps.
While the speed was at 512, the maximum amount that could be downloaded in 24 hrs was 5.4 Gb.
If the speed was at a constant 512 Kbps, you simply could not download more than 5.4 Gb in 24 hrs because you were limited by the speed.
Because it was unlimited internet, the speed limit at which you download data only defined the rate at which you could download the data, Should you have wanted to download more than 5.4 Gb, you would simply have proceeded downloading through the second day and so on, because it was unlimited data, at 512 Kbps.
Unlimited internet is when there are no limits on the amount of data that you can download at X speed. It is not unlimited internet, if there is a limit on the amount of data that you can download at X speed.
Since there were no caps or limits on the amount that people could download, then, it was truly unlimited internet.
It has been said that individuals were downloading 35 Gb per day, so the question was how was it possible for people do download 35 Gb per day, on the unlimited bundle? While the official speed on the unlimited bundle was at 512 Kbps?
The calculations showed why 35 Gb per day was not possible on a 512 Kbps connection, and what it would take to be able to download 35 Gb per day.
- 5.4 Gb per day was possible at the speed of 512 Kbps
- 35 Gb per day was only possible if the speed was increased to 3319 Kbps, which is equivalent to 3.2 Mega bits per second.
So how was it possible to download 35 Gb per day while the official speed was 512 Kbps? The article revealed it.
“It is possible to bypass the limitations. People took advantage of the network to download massive amounts of data,”
Individuals "bypassed the limitations" (the limitations being the speed limit that was set to 512 Kbps then later dropped to 128 Kbps) to "download massive amounts of data" (which it is said to be be 35 Gb per day).
The calculations showed that it would take at least 3319 Kbps or 3.2 Mega bits per second to be able to download 35 Gb per day, and this is the speed at which these individuals were connected at - while unlimited.
After bypassing the limit, they "took advantage of the network", so the speed that the network could handle per person, was not less than what was needed to download 35 Gb per day, hence the question - "Being the networks average speed?"
They tried to bury us, they didn't know we were seeds.
