Good People..is there a time that a political leader outlives his usefulness or may I ask it differently is there a time when a political leader should just exit and pave way for young and fresh minds. I think some of our leaders have reached political menopause and should just retire. This leaders should just support youthful leaders, talk of generational change. What do you think?

While what you say is true, there is no one who would accept that his/her usefulness in "what they know best" is exhausted.
Further, our systems operate in a way that says if you can convince people to elect you and you get majority votes then you become the leader irrespective of what agenda you have once elected or capability.

Are you focusing on the leader's physical being or his ideas, vision and policies?
You can never outlive your usefullness if you are positively impacting your community.
Age you will, but wisdom comes with age and experience you know.(Not in all cases though)
Actually we don't need a youthfull leader but a visionary, sober an level headed one regardless of age.

true that. it's all about what one brings to the table. if there is progress and development, age does not matter. take Kutuny for example, he is very youthful but what gains has he brought to the country? zero.
i.am.back!!!!

nichekelee tu.Sad.

But who are the youthful leaders anyway?
Ababu,Sonko,Mungatana,Kutuny,Wamalwa,Gideon
Ruto

They may be well educated but lack muscle to push forth some agendas.
I think they fail to deliver what they promised the masses becz it's difficult to navigate through some old and wrong systems which have been in place for ages.Systems the experienced ones have been using to make things happen.
Youths get to parliament and Osmosis takes place gradually making them to loose their shine.
Once that happens, they start talking/reasoning.growing bellies and grey hair like the rest and forget where they came from.
It then becomes a 'me and my family's welfare' and community's needs r shelved.

I gave up on leaders
