What more is there to say? Bilbao taught us a footballing lesson I'm sure Fergie will not forget as we prepare for next season. Now it's all EPL or nothing.

City walijimudu 2nd half but it was too little too late, was hoping they go through for obvious reasons...

It's an all Athletico final. Bilbao too strong on the night for Sporting. Lliorente should be the first guy on Spanish team sheet - he's their answer to Mario Gomez. I wonder whether Bielsa will be able to hold to this team - clubs will come knocking with wads of cash for kina Muniain et al.

Valencia left themselves with too much to do and could not score at Mestalla. Thiago's sending off was the epitome of stupidity though, it's like he was beging for the ref to send him off, the ref could have picked from either of 3 incidents during the melee that ended in Thiago slapping Soldado and the ref brandishing a red.

I hope Bilbao are rewarded for their enterprising play - absolutely brilliant. They might also just give Barca a run for their money in the Copa Del Rey final.

The two semis especially the Sporting one were more enterprising and entertaining than the Chelsea semis. A marvel to watch. I think Muniain will be a hot target come the transfer window. Though slow, Llorente is a fantastic forward,Barca should get such a target man to compliment their current over-reliance on Messi. I.e if the next manager chooses to maintain the same style of play.
I hope Bilbao gets the trophy.

@Nobby,are you referring to Bilbao, which lost or the winning team, A.Madrid? I don't know what happened to Bilbao last night, even the simplest of passes were eluding them. May be inexperience but even so, i expected better from them.I felt for Muniain. A.Madrid were good and it looked like their day.

A. madrid are good but will always play second fiddle to their richer, far richer cousins, real madrid. look at the revenues of both clubs especially TV rights. barca and real madrid make more than all the other first division clubs combined.
