Daykio outsold some chuck at sh.500k for a 1/4 acre last year. Of course they sell at a premium. From here one can calculate the fair price of an acre. However, price will also depend on the seller, whether it is the maasai or a speculator re-seller.

@mycool,

The best way to get land along pipeline road is to do self assessment survey during the dry season. Just drive along the road and there are so on sale signs and talk to guys selling. Then visit the sites and get to know the owners and you are likely to get a good deal.Have done it severally and gotten good deals including a recent one of 350k an acre 1okms fromm main road. For an estimate, 5-10kms from the tarmac you can get an acre at around 500-800k from owners and 1.5-2.0m from speculators.

Good luck

The distance from the tarmac to the plots is about 4km to 6km am not sure. Landmark is the NPC Children's home. Check out their website at www.daykio.com

what distance from tarmac are you looking for?
I have 5 acres that i am selling, approx 5.5 KM from tarmac, right next to Ebenezer Children's Home.
It does not get flooded, though the road has been challenging to get through during the rainy season.
but hardcore was being laid on the road, making it much better now.

The only way to know if it floods is to take a drive there during this period... no one will tell you they are selling you a swamp!
