But why a change of name?

There is nothing wrong with the current one

I second @Mukiha. Just leave the name alone... we love being SK,SKerians,SKists,SKlets.... sasa mwataka kuiita nini? Wakarima Stocks????

Hapana... you will spoil it if you change the name... thats what binds us here....

@mukiha - well,we asked for some enhancements - lets wait and see - i hope we will have a choice,in case we are not comfy with the new look,like with yahoo mail,of using the old interface or new interface. I gather some of us tri/quad/quatro generians might be rather conservative

What will Skerians become? I almost told the census officials I belong to a tribe called SKerians before I remembered that the gova only recognises 42 tribes and there are 100 others not recognised.

@Wendz - perhaps with regional integration (and given that SK has some numbers for regional markets),perhaps it will be Stocks East Africa (SEA) - then we can look forward to a regional mix.

the people behind stockskenya.com have been quietly making a tidy sum from google Adsense of about Sh 2,500/- daily and the site is worth Sh1.8m. so you can expect the figures to climb up if they get the metamorphosis right. what a nice little earner!

I hope sk impunity will not apply here ....sk name is a matter of life and death....sk listen to your people.....New name noooooooooooooo.....you can do a referendum on that and you will be amazed how we own that name........

I saw somewhere while browsing for cool java apps a SK java application for mobile phones with live stock prices.I dont know when it will be officially released but I`m patiently waiting.
The utimate goal of investing is to buy low sell high;if we re-write this core equation in psychology terms it becomes buy fear sell greed.
