Android 2.3.4 WiFi internet setting

Anybody knows the right settings to access internet thro' wi-fi for this phone (above). It connects to wifi without a hitch but not the net.
(other devices do)

Android 2.3.4 is not a phone, its an OS for very many android phones. Which model? When you connect can you ping an IP such as 8.8.8.8 or hostname www.google.co.ke

The problem might not be your phone but the wifi network you are connecting to.

@tuvok, probably because tried multiple options on phone-have been online all afternoon checking solutions. What d u think is the network issue/router?

Yes, Android 2.3.4 is an update version of Android OS 2.3 also called Gingerbread. Your phone doesn't have a problem, it could well be that it's been blocked from accessing internet from that particular wifi network, in as much as it's connecting to that network.

(meant 'really'-as in obvious/satire).

got the network passwords, maybe will check wifi settings. ur input is much appreciated.
