Inexplicably referee Mike Jones found five minutes of added time;
we awaited the arrival of substitute
Ashley Young, his dive and the
inevitable penalty award, but
mysteriously they never came.

Great match for the neutrals. Very nervy for Man u fans. Now we await the decider, hope it does not disappoint.

Gunners drew with the Blues. The Blues must win the Champion's league. The just need to lock out Barca, how they do that don't ask me.

Finally, Barca were tamed by Real at their own ground. They should be a bit careful, they might exit the big league as well.

What a silly defensive showing by Rafael who actually cost us the second Jelavic goal and the Piennar goal, not following Pienaar's run. I think this boy needs to be taken on loan also, like his bro Fabio, who has better judegement but does not get game time due to Evra. I'd rather Fergie even grooms Jones for that wing. The boy has cost us many games, including the return quarter final against Bayern in the 2010 CL. Evra could have made it 5-2 with the diving header that came off the post....shoulda woulda coulda.Anyway, maji yakimwagika hayazoleki,we can do the job at Eastlands in 7 days time. I was so disappointed

I thought Aguerro would win Young Player of the Year but clearly the English would rather have their own. PFA was always going to RvP,surprisingly Rooney is just a goal behind him but what a season he has had.

So we have a title deciding derby, what a day for neutrals!I'll be biting my nails all the way. A draw would suit us just fine. Now to the small matter of the CL semi returns. What mouth watering football we'll see in the next one week!

ION Dortmund retained the Bundesliga title with 2 games to go.....yaaawn

..What a weekend, dint see the games but caught the highlights. Man U have themselves to blame, at 4-2, Evra hitting the post says it all, as an experienced player he should know Everton had nothing to loose and would attack so they would close the game out, same mistake they did against Man City chasing a lost cause..mmmhh interesting times i wonder do Ferdinand and Evans have what it takes to shut out the marauding forwards in Aguero and Tevez, this would be an interesting one could go either way but momentum is with City defenitely, Howard Web referee??

if its any consolation for the utd fans, utd may do a real madrid on 30th at the etihad stadium.

It's not a consolation. We kicked the noisy neighbours out of the FA Cup at Etihad, we can do likewise come next Monday. Even a draw will do us good, we don't have to win the game. If we do win, the title race will be for the moneybags. Actually, it's City who have to win that Monday clash, considering their next game after United's will be against an in-form Newcastle United. We'll finish the job and do a Madrid.

I think what people forget is, our attacking play is good, even though defense is suspect. With Nani back in the ranks and Valencia getting back to his old self, with Welbeck and Rooney being the Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke of this age, we have what it takes to hammer Man City. Seriously, we'll play with intent. Yesterday's game was sprinkled with complacency. I hope Smalling gets the right back node, if only we had another left back. But Evans and Rio will handle it well. Trust me, Man United know they have a perfect chance to stop Man City, they know what's at stake.

I still can't understand why the ref decided to add 5 minutes. Anyway i think both teams will play for a win at Etihad Stadium. A draw would be a good result for Man Utd but the gap will still be 3 pts with a home match against Swansea and away to Sunderland. still to come....although City also have to get past Newcastle and Wigan. I have a feeling the league will be decided in the last 2 games.

So Ferguson must be happy wherever he is, the only problem is Webb might refuse the Mpesa since Man Shitty can offer more.

You guys must be high on not-matured weed. Andre Marriner will be the referee for the Mancunian Derby.

Van Persie Pips United Pair to Football Writers' Award

Arsenal captain Robin van Persie has been named the Football Writers' Assiociation Player of the Year, adding to his Professional Footballers Association Players' Player of the Year award. The Dutch forward has scored 34 goals this season for Arsenal and leads the way in the race for the Premier League golden boot having netted 27 times in the top flight.

Van Persie follows in the footsteps of Gunners greats Dennis Bergkamp and Thierry Henry in winning the PFA and FWA awards in the same season, last achieved by Manchester United's Wayne Rooney in 2010.

FWA chairman Steve Bates said: "Robin was the overwhelming choice of our members this season and deservedly so after a magnificent campaign for Arsenal. "The quality of his goals, attacking movement and consistency in a turbulent season for the Gunners has been eye-catching. The considerable size of his majority in the votes cast by our members reflected the general view that he has been the season's most outstanding individual performer."

The United pair of Rooney, who has notched 26 league goals this season, and Paul Scholes, who came out of retirement in January to spearhead the club's title charge, finished second and third respectively. Fulham midfielder Clint Dempsey, who was omitted from the six-man PFA nominee list, finished fourth in the voting, conducted by 400 of the country's leading football journalists.

After scoring 35 goals in 2011, Van Persie has continued his impressive form into the New Year, helping put Arsenal on the brink of qualification for next season's Champions League. Amid the former Feyenoord striker's excellent showings this season, the 28 year old's future at The Emirates Stadium is uncertain, with Van Persie yet to sign an extension to his current deal which expires in 2013.

The Netherlands international will receive the award during a gala dinner at Lancaster London Hotel on 3 May .
