Wilson Kipsang and Mary Keitany win the London marathon at a blistering pace. In the womens race it was a clean sweep of all top five positions with Edna Kiplagat coming in second ,Prisca Jeptoo third, Florence Kiplagat fourth and Lucy Kabuu fifth. Total domination!!!!! Martin Lel finishes second, Abel Kirui 6th and Emmanuel Mutai 7th.

In her current form Keitany seems unbeatable. I predict an Olympic gold for this beautiful young girl at the London Olympics.

The mens selection is going to be tricky but I hope they include Abel Kirui in the team even though he came in 6th today. You need someone who can run in the summer and without pacesetters something he has proved he can do in the last two world championships. I would also include Geoffrey Mutai in that team.

Am so proud to be Kenyan.

These are our heroes for those who don't know them.

From left to right:
Lucy Kabuu (5th), Florence Kiplagat (4th), Mary Keitany (1st), Edna Kiplagat (2nd) Prisca Jeptoo (3rd)

Here are the men:

From left to right:
Emmanuel Mutai (7th) (winner London 2011 and current course record holder) Abel Kirui(6th)(2 time world marathon champion) Wilson Kipsang (1st in London 2012 also 2nd fastest marathoner in the world 2:03:42 set in Frankfurt 2011) Patrick Makau (World record Holder 2:03:38)

Remember most of these guys are cops. Wakiwa hapa wako kazini na hawacheki kwa kazi.smile smile

Lakini with Prince Harry around hata upende sura ya kazi namna gani you just have to smile.

the pain of all this is that kenya tourism board never ceases the moment!!! but then what do you expect to get from a ministry headed by a non starter? sucks!!
Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story.

On a lighter note. Children do not know or care about anyone.

Look at this.

Mary Keitany trying to introduce her son to Prince Harry (Hataki kujua).

He has more interesting things to do.

My flowers are back. Mami you were saying Prince who??

...2:42:40 All of 42KM second time asking this was an achievement for me and one thing for sure it's more of a mental/emotional race that it is a physical one and learnt so much bout myself.

As i pushed myself to limits unknown along the embankment i could see
Kipsang and the lot on his way back and foolishly tried to imitate his up-right position, feet barely touching the ground - to no avail i could almost here the thud my feet gave out and could swear each foot weighed a ton. Now got a medal to show for it that sits proudly in my cabinet among other achievements and most importantly my deel-lets to see there is always reward for hardwork as they grow-up.

All-in-all kudos to the Kenyans, it's amazing to hear all the conspiracy theorists along the way on why Kenyans dominate!! un-rivalled levels of ignorance is all ican say!!

The greatest danger in times of turbulence is not the turbulence; it is to act with yesterday's logic.

If i was from another country.... i'd be very very annoyed with kenyans!!! How can they dominate marathon like that around the world.... Infact, i'd try something evil like just having on "set" of marathons for kenyans, and other organised for the rest of the world....... it must be very frustrating not to be a kenyan when it comes to marathons! You can imagine how proud i feel right now.....
