Githae instructed Central Bank not to let the shilling strengthen past the Kshs. 82 mark to the dollar ostensibly to protect export earnings which does not make any sense to me given the fact that we are a net importer. Anywho, this are some of the results [partially] of the directive.

By the way, I am not at ease with someone who suggested we should be eating rats being allowed to give instructions to Central Bank!!!
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

I don't think Githae by himself is has the power to make such decisions.
Finally, the matatus and public transport have given in to pressure and will increase fares soon. I think this is one industry that really stuck by us during the hard times.

BBI will solve it

Now that price increase is good news. At last the proboxes and other 8yr old-plus junks driven by the struggling mindro kras and other wannabe motorists will stop clogging and polluting our roads and allow us to enjoy the art of driving in our 4,600cc Range Rovers.

Ps: am just joking!

Well, he did! And guess what, it has never passed that mark ever since [to the best of my knowledge]. Habari ndiyo hiyo. See links below.

These matatu guys are a joke! they want to increase the fares because fuel prices have gone up. Question. Did they reduce the fares when fuel prices went down by a similar margin???

ERC should compel Matatu to increase fares by maximum of 10% same as fuel rise.
It's easy for investors to get emotional and prejudiced when trading, but computers don't
