Las Vegas, Silicon Valley, Malibu. What game was the American gov't playing? By and large.

If you get a kid from Turkana who eats once a day - and at times even that one meal is not available - and start giving him three main meals a day and even include 10am and 4pm tea he might wonder "what games" you are playing. He might be forgiven for imagining you are fattening him for eventual slaughter. That is the same thing that is happening to Kenyans. For 24 years they were having one (or less) meal a day. Now, two or three meals a day have bred suspicions! Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

In my own view the timing is very wanting! Don't limit your challenges, but challenge your limits

So would you rather we waited till 2030 for LAPSSET to completed before beginning new projects? That would be myopic at best. It does not mean there are no risks in these projects, I am sure they are a legion, but they are worth taking. As long as it is private money being invested, there will be some favors serves a la Turkana oil and Wetangula. But I still think we must undertake these projects if Kenya is to be taken seriously. You still haven't mentioned the Mombasa-Busia standard gauge rail project which I think is long overdue Great men are not always wise, neither do the aged understand judgement...

I think it's about time such developments are kick-started, I just wish the stench of scandals and scams did not overpower the will for greater good...sigh.... Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee. - Muhammad Ali🐝

Some shrewd Kenyans will always eat every time there is a major project. But we must realise that it is important to have foresight as a Nation. We must think of what we would like to achieve in 50 years' time. Think not just for yourself but for your grandchildren. You would be shocked at when the Nairobi by-passes plans were conceived. We are enjoying the fruits of the labour of those who planned.

I would want to pardon your skepticism, but you see, these projects were not mooted in 2012,which is the election year, some go back more than three decades ago. Unscrupulous people are part and parcel of the society. Those pyramid schemes were one of those. That in itself doesn't stop the whole country from moving forward. Scandals are everywhere, all the time.First world , third world and any other "worlds" out there.
