Just wondering-should Uhuru and Co just refuse to appear at the Hague or should they go and risk not returning back to Kenya?

if they dont show up GoK will be asked to arrest them, naturally the security organs and Kibs will decline, then we ll know what a real crisis is like and Raira will realize even his nusu mkate is largely mythical, hata slice moja onge

My take has been that,-that it has always been in their (Uhuru&Ruto) grand scheme to fail to honour the summons and/or warrants of arrest when it becomes clear that ICC is geared towards putting them unto the DIScomfort zone.

Seemingly, the time for that card to be flashed has arrived!

This strategy is fraught with challenges though!

These involve:

The gigantuan task of getting Kenya to start the process of withdrawal from ICC and cease being a member state to the Rome statute. The propaganda roll out calculated to convince Kenyans that withdrawal is a good option.

Assuming the withdrawal process gets underway in April 2012, Kenya can only expect to be released from the court obligations to coopperate, in March next year.

In the interim, if ICC issues warrants of arrest, a likely eventuality for the Kenyan accused persons, Kenya would be expected to cooperate with the court!

The choice between protecting 4 individuals and the posibility of Kenya being branded a pariah Nation would pressure the powers that be (Kibaki) to let go of the quartet albeit reluctantly.

There is also the Mutunga Judiciary in which Ombija and Waki serve, - to help the country reach a decision in the event of Kibaki dithers!

Si Kuzuri saana!
