@A4architect,i really respect your opinions on matters construction.what is your take on the latest craze of container houses in kenya?,can they be really classified as low cost housing considering the conversions needed to make them habitable?

I have been toying around with the same idea for months now.I think with some creativity you can come up with something neat.And yes, it is low cost.If you buy a container for around 80k and fabricate it at 30-40K that's about 120K total

I doubt you'll get a container for 80k.
Containers have become very expensive coz of demand from Southern Sudan.

What's the gross floor area of the container-to get a reasonable 2 bedrooms unit it would be about 65sqm, though this is a bit squeezed.
