I read some apparent miscalculation in camp PNU!

My view is that they are unwittingly conceding ground to Raila.

This is why:

Raila prefers elections to be held in Dec 2012.

Kibaki supports a situation where the elections are delayed to the maximum - March 2013.

This is likely to be viewed in the prism of the usual African leader's appetite to enhance their period in power.



PNU operatives Tabling of Propagandist/forged dossier in Parliament to scandalise UK, ICC and Raila, - very ill advised.



Handling of Post Election Violence crimes -

Raila wants judicial settlement of these crimes (as curious as it may look).



Kibaki has always wanted "MERCIful" approach!! – clemency!

Kibaki ignoring consultations (constitutional requirement) with Raila - over the nominations for the 'Police oversight commission'.



Why is Kibaki doing all these!

It only helps to make Raila seem good!

@B-Timer, I think the turning point for Kenya was when Baks hurriedly nominated Chief Justice, DPP and AG (this just shows what he could do if it were not for a coalition and the signing of MoU, but he still tries to flex his muscle once in a while)and after RAO insisted and demanded "consultation", he changed his mind and interested persons were vetted....

The way in which Baks is going on his business is strange in relation to claims of radical changes in the judiciary...I don't think Ogambo believes any of those things...had we gone local tribunal, for sure, no one would have been convicted of PEV crimes...

But why would RAO want an election in 2013? That gives his competitors to put their houses in order...deadline ya political parties act is 30th April 2012, unless things change...

Rao's statements over the weekend have set him back big time.Am not sure who would want a president that reckless.On the election issue no one has an upper hand because the principals have to agree before announcing

You must be talking of RAO prefering Dec 2012. Election date has to be agreed between the Principals & elections commision. But as long as it's lawful to hold them anytime to March/April 2013, then any date is ok.i really feel it for RAO. These guys have made sure there is no power left to the presidency. knowing RAO, he will be a very frustrated man if he ever makes it to statehouse

Shame on you Shame on you While at it do you find the grandstanding and balkanisation of kenyans as done by your two tin gods in so called prayer rallies reckless or not.Those statements were spot on if you ask me.

In the current scheme of things, in the arena of public opinion, the scales are tilted against Kibaki.

Raila is on the right side of things as it were. Raila however will need to be careful how he proceeds. His inclination to condemn IEBC may lead the populace to reflect on his condemnation of ECK and the eventual disastrous results.

Casting aspersions as to IEBC impartiality is certainly not the way to go.

If only Raila can do the balancing act right, he could pull the rug from under Kibaki's feet.

Hassan made it very clear that he is falling to plan B, after Kibaki blocked the route for plan A- December 2012 elections!

Rao already called the courts that ruled 2013 for the election "fake courts." Next he will discredit the IEBC.The same script all over again for 2007.It is the only thing he has going for him but i think he is done.He has to do this to be a hero but its different this time round.

I could not believe it when he called the court "bandia". This and his secretariat's press statement shows the real RAO is still suppressed somewhere. This is not presidential character.
