Also interested in this info. Perhaps if anyone has figures for Investment banking salaries/bonus (e.g Standard Bank, Renaissance Capital, Dyer & Blair) they could share?

well it depends...salo+bonus? some guys make more than many CEOs.....one guy made 30mio in bonuses alone...bonus range varies but the norm is like 1mio....salos per se arent extra ordinary...guy with 1 yr experience can command about 250k odd depending on skill set...no entry level per se because most dealers dont quite start employment as dealers, most find their way into treasury...dunno if that helps

Yeah...very slow, they real piss me off. It is like they are forced to work.

I think family is ok. Improving.
Bt oh my, stanchart, especially for small farmers like me, they take loong. Even make faces if u try ask. That bank, should only serve the mighty.
They one day told me to close my acct if i'm unhappy.

Stanchart have no interest in small customers. they have actually simplified the process of closing accounts to get rid of them.

Business-wise it might be a good strategy. Applying the Pareto 80/20 rule.

Socially, it might backfire on their faces and therefore affect their profits negatively.
Nothing is real unless it can be named; nothing has value unless it can be sold; money is worthless unless you spend it.

This topic is digressing. The query is simple: Whats the entry level salaries for big banks in 2012. Can someone put figures as a guideline e.g at Family clerks 45k, ICT mgr, 120k, CEO, 350k, etc.
The only time you should be looking down on others is when you are helping them up.

For which category of staff? management? Clerical? Unskilled?

I know a guy who entered Equity Bank at 800k per month.... then he resigned 6 months later due to poor working conditions.

You are assuming that it was a lowly position... he was one of those people you see pictured under "Executive Management" in the annual report...
