Wazuans, please help me understand Article 89 of the Constitution of Kenya.

I am surprised that my proposed constituency has more inhabitants that all of the proposed Nairobi's constituencies.

I wish to categorically deny that wazua was in any way involved in rushing the process. Infact, wazua wasnt consulted.

Smallest constituency is Mathare, pop 193,416 area 3sq.km

Largest is North Horr, pop 75,196 and area 35,210sq.km

Mathare goes into North Horr 11736.66667 times!!

What are the resources in the north horr?

Any of the new infrastructures targeting this place?
When I have money, I get rid of it quickly, lest it find a way into my heart.

The primary role of legislature is REPRESENTATION. It exists to play legislative and oversight roles but since we can't have all 40M Kenyans deliberating on everything, we elect a few to do it on our behalf. If we were to be strict on this main role, Mathare should have been split further when compared to North Horr.

The issue of resource distribution does not arise. CDF(and I believe LATF) is dying with the new constitution implementation and funds will be divided through counties.

Even then, people in vast but sparsely populated areas are bound to feel left out as their counties are much bigger. But there is hope as we have an equalisation fund for such areas.
