At least we don't have to speak in hushed up voices and keep looking around to see who is listening when discussing kibaki. Moi was 'God' and his name was aweful.

@mkeiy, does it mean that Rao deciding to work with Carole Omondi and Miguna Miguna he is thus a tribalist? As i said it would have been difficult for Rao to have the likes of Kiraitu in his inner circles since for one they were in different political parties, unless you considered the issue of detention where they were fighting the Moi errors.
All i believe in is we might not get another Kibaki. "Quote Nation who said the other day that Waweru's tenure at KRA was succeful because Kibaki's govt gave him a free hand to run KRA (no political interference) But instead of looking at Kibaki, why can't we look at the various ministries and see how they fared and who was the most efficient minister since they had a free hand in running the ministries.

Am sure Raila too will give everything a luo feel and touch even worse than the kikuyu feel kibaki has managed to give. Just look, ODM is more a luo affair and so will an ODM government.

What is REALLY wrong with tribalism?

Wouldn't you be in best company among those who speak language that you identify with?

When doing business, you look at factors that will give best returns -finding best mouse trap among your kinsmen - they know the genre of mice in your neighborhood.

When recruiting staff, its easier to work with people whose names you can pronounce, whose culture you understand for motivational purposes etc.

Those proselytizing against tribalism here are:
a) the best in their tribes - and are lonely at the top.
b) well educated in foreign languages, and ashamed of speaking their mother tongue slaves-style.
c) Ambitious - they refuse to accept their communities' inherent weaknesses and want to 'keep up with Joneses'
d) pots which calls kettle black.

Its not unconstitutional, immoral, or criminal to be a tribalist. Or is it?

u got a point. people feel comfortable around those who look, act and talk like them au sio?

@QW take a trip around Kenya's maize belt of Transnzoia, BGM, Lugari, North rift and greater western province.

I challenge you to show me what infrastructure Kibaki has improved.

On behalf of QW,I'll report this.

1.Eldoret - Malaba ---Work has started
2.Kaburengu-Kakamega - recarpeted
3.Sikata- Kimilili - New road
4.Ebuyangu - Ekero - New road
5.Kamukuiywa - Kapsokwony - New road
6.Kapsokwony -Chwele -New road (Work in progress)
7.Kakamega -Kisumu -Recarpeted
8.Stand Khisa - Emusire -New road

All this roads are Kibaki's constituency i guess!
