No other country has so much evolved for better like Kenya in Africa and elsewhere. Kibaki has brought the infrastructure back on its feet, freedom of speech has been so wide opened some of us are drowning in the same, add the other free this and that and political assassinations are rare if any etc. Anyone objecting?

...He deserves a big pat on the back!....
He does not payuka payuka as was the norm in the past with previous leaders.... A man of few words but of great deeds....

We need to look beyond tribal lines for those who see Mt Kenya Mafia-ism....hope the next occupant of the house on the hill will do even better, than baba Judy

We don't need another Kibaki!

The current entrenched tribalism and the 2008 mess outweighs all the good he has done (which are many) and will forever taint his legacy..

I agree with you up to here. And yes, tribalism is one of Mzee Kibaki's worst blemishes.

Kibaki allowed the tribal crashes to take place so that the suspicion of each other would finally be addressed once and for all. That is the difference between a coward who takes it slowly and prefers to suffer slowly for life while the courageous one says let hell break loose but when things settle down, the bully will be taken care off for good.

That is what small minds do not see and prefer a nyef nyef variety of a leader than development conscious leader.

With the spirit and mood in 2002, any person who took over from Moi was always going to do better. Kibaki killed that spirit with entrenched tribalism...I wonder if Kenyans can be fooled again into believing as we did in 2002...
I won't say much about development, maybe there are people who do not feel it mashinani

Problems can get out of proportion, and not only in the wee small hours. Don't let the problems eclipse the Master. Let the Master eclipse the problems.
