I think it is time we looked at these things in a less political way. Kibs can send Raila to conduct official business. It doesn't make Raila any less of a prime minister. If a key trading partner is such as UG is unhappy, surely this requires attention from the gar'ment and it does not have to follow the usual ODM/PNU fault lines.

My concern was not who sent who, but the fact that the issue is causing diplomatic tension with M7 claiming we back stabbed him. He wants East Africa to orbit around him and the fact the project has began based on national self interest for kenya, SS, and Ethiopia did not seem to make him happy.

When it comes to quick deliver....you'll wait for 500 years for the dumb Tanzanians to deliver anything!

yes this is one question i have been having.South Sudan has signed agreements with UG,Kenya,Ethiopia for oil pipelines.Are we going to spend all this money to connect pipelines to South Sudan and build expensive refineries in Lamu only for SS in the future to change its mind as they wish.Remember there is already the pipeline through N.Sudan with refineries infrastructure already set up.I think N.Sudan will have to at some point eat humble pie and agree to whatever conditions S.Sudan gives them.Some revenue is better than no revenue at all for N.Sudan on infrastructure that has already been build.We are talking of only 0.5m barrels a day.I think we have to be very careful and stop rushing.

Didn't they say they were going to fund for the pipeline construction? If so, we don't have to worry.
Another thing, SS can never be at ease with Sudan, so the question of Sudan eating a humble pie wouldn't be very threatening. I think SS would prefer to do biz with any of the other countries than Sudan.
