Wasn't he involved in that cemetery project?

The case is still in court and we don't know for a fact how much he was involved.

Nontheless; given these choices whom would you prefer?

1] Kidero - a respected big corporate CEO, but with no public sector experience (can he navigate the many political interests).

2] Kisia - an ex-private sector operative with a dismal performance record as head of the present City Council

3] Gakuo - a career public sector executive with an excellent record of performance including running the City Council but with question regarding the new cemetery land.

Chaguo ni lako....

At the point when Gakuo was being replaced, I remember one Mudavadi saying that the issue of performance should not be the only basis of extending his term. He mentioned that there are so many people who can equally perform. However, if we compare the performances of Kisia and Gakuo, it is plain for all to see who is better in that regard. As far as curruption is considered, it is another kettle of fish.

So; Kisia has no corrupt deal as far as we know, but he has ruined the city due to his incompetence.

Gakuo is suspected of stealing money through the cemetery deal, but he fixed a lot of thing that had died.... council clinics, roads, public parks, lighting the estates (including the slums - which adopt-a-light wanted to lay claim on) etc.

Which would you prefer as Governor?

Gakuo for Gorvenor ! Thirded. The Kisia guy cannot qualify even a councillor position.
He is a total embarrassment and shame.

Gakuo has no match there, he falls in the league of the late michuki, kaguthi etc.

Gakuo will surely get the council workers vote if he runs-they all miss him-mishahara yao ilikuwa ikilipwa mapema wakati Gakuo alikuwa Town clerk. And this Kisia guy-we thought he would do for the Council what he did for KICC but unfortunately the Council is not KICC and his stint at the NCC is not going to prove he is an able manager and his track record takes an about-turn courtesy of NCC. Maybe, just maybe we shouldn't be so harsh on this Kisia. Being a town clerk of the NCC is a different ball-game all together. How do you bring order to a place full of hooligans known as councillors? Gakuo must have been able to appease this mongrels while at the same time doing nice things that put the Council in good light. Anyway, i still think Gakuo would make a good politically sensitive manager than Kisia.

Can somebody kindly start a "Gakuo for Governor" facebook page. Anyone with an email we can reach him on can also post it here. Maybe if shout loud enough, he might just hear us.

Let's stop just wishing for Governor Gakuo. Let's do something to make it happen!!! Na masiku zinaenda!

Either of the two or Kidero would be good for the city. I have misgivings about Maggie though, I agree with Kwendo Opanga about her lack technocratic abilities.
