I saw the writings all over ngara, westie: 'WAITITU FOR NBI GOVENOR' it got me thinking. Politicians are very, very ambitious. Daring and risk takers. Imagine of waititu being entrusted with nbi governoship?thats the worst joke in my adult life. But then i thought, these people are voted by my fellow kenyans For in him (Jesus) we live and move and have our being-Acts 17:28

Are you kidding me? We need a straight thinking, intelligent, entrepreneurial, creative mind. This is a CEO’s job. Not a politicians job!!! We need someone who can successfully run a company with a turn over of 30 Billion. Ex – Kajoras (99.9% of them) don’t qualify. Call me elitist if you want!!! Jimnah Mbaru would have been perfect in my opinion but it looks like he wants to go back machinani – Murang’a county – if recent activities are anything to go by. Anyone who has successfully ran a "big" company will get my vote if he vies – assuming he has no skeletons like corruption, tribalism etc. in his closet. No career politician will get my vote on this one! Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

@maichblack i am in total agreement with you.Nairobi governor should be qualified enough to run blue chip companies like safcom, eabl etc.Anyone below that calibre i think Nairobi would be kidding itself.I watched a debate of two guyz running for this same position on citizen tv and my thoughts were this two guyz should probably start from other counties first before they can think of Nairobi. However with kenyan voting patterns i would not be suprised if a guy like waititu or kisia is elected.

The Kasia guy keeps saying Nairobians are not paying enough taxes!!! If he becomes the governor, we will be paying the Zebra crossing tax, marriage tax, pay as you earn, earn as you pay tax etc. that Nyambane was joking about in the nchi ya kitu kidogo song by Eric Wainaina! Kisia is a big letdown. I dont think he should manage nbi. Jimna mbaru-yes. Kidero of mumias-yes George Thuo-yes. The guy's a poor politician but a super manager/businessman. Ask bill lay. Sonko/waititu/kamanda/maina njenga/livondo/musalia, never never should they even be allowed to stand For in him (Jesus) we live and move and have our being-Acts 17:28

I don't see how failing to honor ones obligations makes one a super manager or businessman.

We don't any politician to manage Nairobi. They simply can't, wont. When I admire the wonder of a sunset or the beauty of the moon, my soul expands in worship of the Creator.

i agree entirely with what you have stated but the reality is that Nairobi could easily end up with a demagogue. How else do you explain that Sonka and Waititu are MPs and one Aladwa is the Mayor? It is quite probable that one day we shall have a Mungiki governing Nairobi if this trend continues.. If you are an eagle don't hang around with chickens; chickens don't fly....

C'mon people let's get real, do you really expect "a straight thinking, intelligent, entrepreneurial, creative mind" to be the next Nairobi Governor??? I'm not so optimistic when it comes to anything done through the ballot kwanza one as important as Governor..... but hey atleast we'll have Ministries run by proffessionals.

Infact, I believe this theory has been pushed by big names of corporate Kenya who want to vie for governor seats. Just who is a politician? Wont these angels of corporate world become politicians the moment they declare interest? Is the corporate world being led by clean leaders? Are our current leaders all unable to manage a county? Why entrust Kenya Presidency to a politician yet insist that the counties cannot be run by one? We should assess each governorship candidate individually for their qualities.

Probably a better interpretation of the 'Politician' issue would be past politicians whom we all know their history....so akin Kidero then would be considered as the new crop, basically former corporate heads turned politicians.
