Good people,

I have a Samsung D820 phone. Well,been having it for a while and has sentimental value. for the last three or four days,it has been misbehaving. When i slide it all the way up,the background light goes off and i cant see the screen. I have to open it half way which means i cant reach all the keys with ease when using it and have to penya to reach the keys. Everything else is fine.

Is there any Samsang dealer in town who i can take to? i want someone reliable say an appointed dealer or such if we have any in town.

Coincidentally I heard on BBC radio today that it is Nokia policy for phones to be declared redundant after a couple of years. The reasoning is that the advances in mobile technology are so rapid that a long lasting phone doesn't make sense. So hiyo sentimentality wachana nayo......

Go to any guy in town. The cable connecting the 2 sliding peices imekatika. They should not charge you more than 400/=.

But it will katika again. It always does.

@Wendz,

I think Phonexpress are the official dealers of Sumsung phones in Kenya. You could try them out. They may take a while though!

Does anyone have the internet seetings for a Sumsung D880? The Safcom 445 service tells me that I should get one from their outlets eti this one is not web enabled!

@wendz,

Just recall that ka 'mulika mwizi' phone you gave your housegirl. You may need it for about a week or two. Also hope she does not need to make that urgent call of ' mtoto amepotea!'

@bwenyenye

Lol..... thanks. Might consider taking leave to monitor mtoto movement during that period....

@Djinn..
thanks. I think i will try @sasha's town shop suggestion as it is more convenient for me. Seems i might require to make several trips before i can finally have it.

@Wendz: Took about 10 minutes. All they'll do is open your phone up,and replace the cable! Easy like changing diapers,or so the guy said! But be prepared to replace it over and over again,especially if your phone cannot stay in your hands for too long!
