Congrats to Maranda,that is great news for the school.Last year they topped in kiswahili now they are number 1 overall.

I salute the schools teachers, students and parents for their efforts.

I don't think the County has got anything to do with this though. In better language, the school did not perform well because it is located in Rarieda constituency or Siaya County but rather because of the students' hardwork, that of their teachers and the coperation of parents, who I believe come from all over Kenya.

The goal of uniting Kenya requires that we think like this as opposed to harboring parochial tendencies.

Instead of celebrating Alliance's performance, reporters are taunting them asking "Of all schools how can you be beaten by a school called Maranda." Very sad
