@ ALL,

How lucrative is farming,in my shags locals have been funded by cdf and harvested lots of water bt they dont have water pumps to pump the water to their farms.the water is like 30 meters from our farm and irrigation isnt practiced here,they are only doing it in very small scales.

Is there anyone on this great forum that is in farming or does anyone know how to go about it,which products are best to start with etc.

BTW transport from there to Nairobi and Mombasa is ok coz the road is tarmacked.

I WILL APPRECIATE YOUR ADVICE...

@ rookey,

you are not clear as to what you want to be adviced on..

do you want to know which type of irrigation that you would like to employ in your shaggs farm or do you want to know which pumping equipment would you need for a start or do you want to know which crops you would like to start with as a pilot undertaking??????

clarify first and the information will flow.
