Wazuans, where do you keep important documents (like title deeds) and the like?

How much do the banks charge for custody services?

I've been talking to custodians lately who seem to charge 10 basis points for value of assets under custody (asset in their name, with you as beneficiary).

For safe-keeping title deeds (presumed in your name), a transaction charge of say Kshs 3,000 would apply

I hear current ranking of Custodians:
1. Standard Chartered
2. CFC Stanbic
3. KCB
4. Coop
Etc.

Documents can be safely lodged with a bank. They will put the documents is a sealed envelope then place them in their safes. You access when you want by notifying them, they retrieve the envelope, you add/remove documents and return them in another fresh sealed envelope. i've previously used the service at KCB Moi Avenue, don't know how much it costs today, but they charge by the year.

Thank you @muganda, @GG & @Jamani for the info.

@Jamani, one has to be a customer at stanchart to get the services. GG, I think I will go with KCB since am a customer there.

@QW, chini ya mattress hapana!

Why ask wazuans something you can easily find out by calling your bank?

Or don't you have a bank account?

banks offer the service,personally with people being so conniving your bank might be the best bet.
