QUOTES OF THE SEASON: "Never argue with an asenane fan.....He might convince you that going trophyless for seven years is a sign of greatness and huge talent in the squad" "You cannot win the EPL title in the first 10Weeks but you can lose it" "Whichever team lags behind at the start of the EPL this season, it will never catch up with the pace setters" "You know you are supporting a mediocre club when 90% of your posts in this thread are in defence of the said club" "You know your team is mediocre when in a match against Man U, your best player happens to be an 18yr old" "As currently constituted......." IF YOU EXPECT ME TO POST ANYTHING POSITIVE ABOUT ASENO, YOU MAY AS WELL SIT ON A PIN

CL tulitoka na tulikubali. At least hio najua hamwezi shinda. So as far as mediocrity goes,it is as relative as the term itself. My point is that you may not make it to 4th spot. @ Smano....What if City win the league, how would you rate you team's performance for 2011-2012 season....Would it be better than Arsenal's having been kicked out of the FA Cup, Carling Cup and CL quite early. I know our chances of winning the CL are very slim but hey at least we still in contention. If City win the League then you season would be rated as disastrous!
My point is that Arsenal are usually criticized so much whenever they drop points than any other team. L'pool were hammered 3-0 by Bolton just recently, Chelsea dropped points at Swansea do you think they are any better than us...this weekend teams above we'll be dropping points and I'm very sure we'll beat Blackburn!

@ Mc Reggae.....Loud or Loyal???? Arsenal fans are some of the most passionate fans you'll ever find. 6 years without a trophy na bado its the most widely supported team in East Africa (I'm not quite sure but i think the whole of Africa as well). In the last 20 years who between Chelsea, Arsenal, L'pool and Man City have been most successful. Not that its any consolation for our recent trophy drought but still a FACT!
Btw in England, Arsenal fans are not as "loud" as other countries but the club is always criticized so much by the media whenever they drop points or fail to win a trophy than any other team....why is that???

A season without a trophy for the great Man Utd is a disastrous campaign, irrespective of the performance of other teams - the only reason I'd be ok with the Europa is coz Fergie has never won it. When we lost to Chelsea by 1 point in 2009/2010 season, I felt more pain than we were behind Chelsea by 18 points in the 2004/2005 season.I measure the success of our team by how many titles they win.Period! Not by how many times we have reached the CL final (3 in the last 4 years) BEER IS LIVING PROOF THAT GOD LOVES US AND WANTS US TO BE HAPPY!

@TAZ, even Arteta who joined just the other day had this to say: "We had a lot of chances to win the game at Bolton, but once again we’ve not been good enough to take them,’ said the former Everton star. ‘And if you don’t take your chances it’s always going to be difficult. It’s not good enough. We really need to start picking up points now. We’ve lost too many in the last two weeks.’ We are in Feb and asenane are yet to win a game in 2012, inexcusable man!!!!! ..."Wewe ni mtu mdogo sana....na mwenye amekuandika pia ni mtu mdogo sana!".

@ Taz, In life you will realize that what you have is not the best but what to do. Arsenal fans have no choice but to remain patient, one day things will change. I have not watched a single Arsenal match this season but somehow I still follow the team. Time comes in life when you realize you dont have the best children, you dont have the best spouse, you dont have the best of friends et al but you cannot just wake up and disown them. Arsenal fans have to keep the faith and hope things will change. "You've never lived until you've almost died; for those who have fought for it, life has a flavour the protected will never know."
