I wish there was a way to vote against a presidential candidate. I would vote AGAINST Kalonzo. If you think Moi sold Kenya to the dogs for 24years, try Kalonzo.

I saw this statement in twitter! And also this one "If a company suspends you, you cannot apply to the same company for even a more senior post" paraphrased or is it modified. The 4th president has not declared interest yet! What's the deadline??

I am still waiting for that one guy who will give clear reasons as to why he hates Kalonzo. The guy wasn't involved in a coup attempt, he never had a rowdy jeshi, does not have arrogant supporters and is loyal to a fault to govt and does not go spilling gvt secrets all over.

Now for his watermelon trait. I believe this is more of perception than fact. He has always looked at his self interest, which all human beings do. In 2008, he agreed to form a coalition with Kibaki which was the first event that earned him the watermelon tag. But what was he to do? Side with the man who snatched the Presidency from him(Raila) or back a besieged retiring old man?

I believe Kalonzo celebrated Raila's loss in 07 more than any other person. Raila's overturning of ODM-K and leading to a defection to ODM killed Kalonzo's bid for state hse and left him with a shell of a party. If these guys had stuck together and backed Kalonzo, they could have had a clear win! It must have been sweet revenge for him when he accepted the VP post from Kibaki.

In the referendum he acted resolute for yes but his heart had been won over by the reds esp. the church group which he (wrongly) believed was a key support base for him. He sent mixed signals when his wife and close associates attended a NO meeting in Machakos. On account of this, I agree he acted confused and this did not go well with the Kenyan public which was by then branding everyone opposed to the new law as anti-reform.

I think he is a colourless politician, he does not inspire the electorate but I do not have reason to like or hate him. But the level of hate he receives makes me pity him.

Political logic is not the same as moral logic. Infact, politics and morality seldom converge.

He is just being tactical and playing politics.

Wao!!!

ODM sympathisers are having a field day here!!!

Delusion, hypocrisy or ignorance!!!

Whichever it is;

All politicians support which ever cause helps advance their political interests – that’s not rocket science.

Kibaki is actively trying to help the ICC suspects.
I am yet to see the kind of vitriol towards him.
Kalonzo is only trying to throw his lot with his political allies – the natural thing in politics.

Having said that, since Mutula Kilonzo is the new found darling of the ODM brigade, may be they should consider voting him as President!!!

Mutula Kilonzo for President any one!!!!

Despite all the tantrums and kelele mingi Kalonzo remains a candidate to watch when the elections are called.

Lets meet kwa debe.

honesty? What comes first for a politician is his interest. Then u get yourself a legal expert to justify your position. Lets also remember that the legal fraternity is not speaking with 1 voice on this. Ahmednasir today opposed the use of criminal charges as a criterion to bar anyone from vying.

You're the kind of people letting down Kenya, you either believe Kalonzo or Kilonzo on the ICC issue, we're not asking anyone to justify anything or to be in anyone shoe.

Who do you believe, Kalonzo or Kilonzo?

Neither. Is there such a thing as Kalonzo position and Kilonzo position? All the replies you got so far have done zero analysis of the law but went into unsubstantiated attacks on Kalonzo. They are cliche political attacks and thats why I sought to challenge them.

Lolest. I'm sorry to say but if there is one thing I am certain of in my life, is that Kalonzo will never become president of Kenya....That's a fact that he needs to be encouraged to understand.

If he told me he was a man, I would insist on DNA tests and even then seek 5th and 6th opinions. In other words, no one believes a word coming out of his mouth.

I may never like Uhuru, Ruto, Karua, PK, Kibaki or any of these other jokers people are trying to vote for, but I would never leave the keys to my house to someone I don't trust.

That is the reason he has no constituency as the other comedians. I doubt if I will ever see in my life anyone consider kalonzo over uhuru, kalonzo over ruto, kalonzo over pk, kalonzo over befwoli. If Kalonzo stood against Wavinya Ndeti he would still lose.

He knows it, that is the reason he's "pretending" to be very hurt by the Hague. He just wants to get the Uhuru and Ruto constituency.

Even my cat knows that. And my cat spends most of its day licking its butt!!Liar Liar

So in this case, Kilonzo, even having spent most of his career licking the KANU baba na mama butt, is still the better option.
Jose: If I make it through this thug life, I'll see you one day. The Lord is the only way to stop the hurt.
