Very prevalent in African tournaments, probably the reason why we have very few African refs on the big stage.

I hope the upcoming meeting of FIFA officials and stakeholders from clubs and nations will address this before 2014 WC i.e. introduction of video techonolgy for some calls where the 4th official quickly looks at instant replay from a small monitor where hes stands and communicates to the ref and/or linesman on the correct decision. Important for marginal offsides, off ball incidents, goal line calls and penalties.

We should not have scenarios like Thierry Henry hpushing the ball with his hand to ensure France qualifies over Ireland to the 2010 WC - ofcourse justice was served with their torrid campaign.

Terangah Lions out,70% of the team were tasting their first AFCON, no experience. Magpies will be delighted by the return of Ba and Papisse!

Looks like it'll be an AFCON of underdogs - hope Chipolopolo go through at the expense of Libya, seeing as the two drew and Equatorial guinea won.

if the pitch was better, i bet Libya would have received more. the first goal Zambia conceded was as a result of poor pitch conditions

Poor Botswana. That 1-6 loss to Guinea was humiliating. Ghana whips Mali 2-0. Do they have much challenge in this tournament?
