whoever started this thread should change it to 'Is Raila a centenarian liar'

By the way, is it proper to keep the president waiting while you are having refreshments? Is it proper to give your personal ass the phone when the president is on the other end? Who is trying to delay the implementation of the new constitition?

@Paul Kukubo

Am not of the same opinion as you seem to be campaigning for. Proper consultations are not the same as semi consultations.

Any consultations that do not incorporate the spirit of the coalition is a travesty compounded with farce.

RAO was busy elsewhere, Kenya could wait for proper deliberations on matters of national importance.

It seems protection of the ICC six was taking priority instead of what is of national interest. Let killers and rapist go to the Hague like yesterday. We have other competent leaders who can lead us to prosperity.

So, please, spare us your vitriols. Even if you don't like RAO, he is the PM of this country and he deserves to be treated as such.

Unless you are ignorant of political deceptions that are going on in the country, you should have known the target all along was to use parliament as a rubber stamp after Panua pocketed, almost to a woman, all North Rift Mpigs.

I hope the speaker will prevail and have the appointments issue addressed afresh for posterity but the margins of success are thin.

RAO should start by apologising to Kenyans for lying that he wasn't consulted. Yesterday he owned up to the fact that he was indeed consulted and names were discussed towards the end of last year. The disagreement was due to the fact that both principals had proposed their tribesmen for the CJ post only for MK to name a neutral later on.

I agree with RAO when he says they didn't hold consultations. BK wanted to take 3 names to the AU come rain or sunshine so that they'd support his ICC deferral bs.

semantic - does Consultation mean Consensus? if that was meant, why didn't the people of 'infinite' wisdom called CoE detect it?

Spot on. And a neutral would be much better for this country. If they did consult but did not have an issue with the AG, DPP or CoB, why would a neutral be the issue? I approve of MK's decision. Hope Marende will not be caught up in ODMs (RAO's wing) wave because of the lies we've been subjected to.

The Prime Minister said the government had put in place adequate measures which will ensure Kenyans do not suffer as a result of the high prices of various commodities since the price of super petrol went up in Nairobi to Sh111.

Last evening on Telly, Raila told the country that the MOU entered into between Kibaki, himself on the one hand and MPs on the other, is a mere Gentleman's agreement - to be dishonoured as they have now done!

The statement is factual but reveals dishonesty and cunning nature on their part.

For Raila, well there is that little matter of 2002 MOU in which Kibaki duped him!

One would think he wouldnt want to subject other people to such.

By his utterances of yesterday, he seems to legitimize rubbishing of MOUs.

Hence the 2002 claims should be buried.

Yeah right: and before Kibaki duped him, Raila had already duped Nyachae three hours after signing an MOU with Ford-P. It's amazing that many people don't remember that Raila made his famous "Kibaki Tosha" proclamation soon after signing an agreement with Nyachae's Ford-P.

“The Prime Minister says that I opted out because I wanted to go form another party. But he sacked me because I was performing all the functions that I was assigned when he thought that I was going to worship him.”

Ruto said that it was the premier who brought the United Democratic Movement (UDM) into the limelight by nominating Mogotio MP Hellen Sambili for appointment as minister and his only role in UDM has been to help the party develop.

“It is the Prime Minister who went to look for UDM by getting its only MP a Cabinet post. My role has been to shape the party so he should not blame us,” he reiterated.

Dujis MP Aden Duale also accused the PM of being insincere on the circumstances under which Ruto left the Cabinet.

On Wednesday while responding to a clarification in Parliament sought by Ikolomani MP Boni Khalwale on double standards for dealing with ministers alleged to have participated in corruption, Odinga claimed that Ruto opted to quit Cabinet and was not kicked out as alleged.

“With respect to Ruto, he voluntarily asked that he wanted to relinquish his position because he was busy organising another political party,” stated the premier.

Raila’s critics say all this manouvering will end in tears for Mudavadi. They insist the PM’s past actions reveal he is a dishonest politician determined to "steamroll" anyone standing in his path to personal glory.

Ikolomani MP Bonny Khalwale says the ‘Kibaki Tosha’ declaration Raila made in 2007 broke a pact he had struck days earlier with Ford People’s Simeon Nyachae. This, Khalwale says, is not Raila’s only betrayal.

"Upon Jaramogi’s death in 1994, Raila attempted to wrestle the chairmanship of Ford Kenya from Kijana Wamalwa, who had stood by his father," Khalwale recalls. "He abandoned Wamalwa after a bitter fight."

Raila then formed NDP, which entered into co-operation with Kanu, "a once cohesive party that he ripped apart after then President Moi sidelined him for Uhuru in 2002."

Khalwale says Raila also used unorthodox means in 2007 to elbow out Kalonzo Musyoka, his main challenger for the ODM-Kenya presidential nomination ticket. His informal leadership grouping with those leaders he took with him, the ODM ‘Pentagon’, has since collapsed.

Looking at the onslaught facing Raila, Khalwale says he is only receiving what he has dished out before.

"He is being paid in the same coin," he says. "Raila only works for himself. It can’t be that he is more sinned against than sinning. He is very cunning and behaves like the proverbial hare."

I did not say that
