Applause Applause Applause Amen!

He totally dictated play after coming on, even though he was partly responsible for the 2nd City goal. We kept the ball well when City were looking for the equalizer

Yeah after coming on after 60mins, Scholes made 71passes (97% complete)

Reports this morning indicate Arsenal have made an enquiry for Chelsea's Solomon Kalou, his contract runs out at the end of this season and talks over a new one have stalled. I believe this is the kind of player we need to replace Arshavin....i think he's still very good but desn't get enough games at Chelsea!

I thought Kalou is possibly heading to Ligue 1 - PSG perhaps

These reports sometimes are just sensationalism - I remember reports indicating Kaka is up for sale this Jan

@ Smano....Well i hope this one is true besides Wenger has been a long time admirer of Kalou and he monitored his development at Feyenood prior to his £9 m move to Stamford Bridge in 2006 so i would be surprised if he signed him. The player himself has previously (at Chelsea) declared his desire to play for Arsenal. PSG have money to spend but most players are a bit hesitant to sign for them because Ligue one is just not that competitive. Hata their recent signing Javier Pastore recently declared he wants to leave PSG for a bigger club.

.....So will arsenal be prepared to pay him the 90 grand a week that he is demanding from chelsea?

@ Mc Reggae....Kama kawaida Arsenal will negotiate the pay but then again i don't think thats a big ask considering ARshavin earns almost that Arsenal and Henry is getting 70k for two months. I believe what Kalou wants is more game time. We've had so many Ivory Coast players at Arsenal so i think that would also be an added advantage for us in pursuing him. Btw Yaya Toure was once an Arsenal player but failed to impress.....

Chelsea don't have a choice they have to sell the player because he'll be a free agent in May. They also don't need him at the moment so i doubt he'll get an improved contract. Anyway, with transfers you can't be sure of anything!

I thought once Fergie told Wenger that he cannot win with boys. The only experienced players they have right now is Giggsy and Rooney, all others are boys[/quote]

@ Frieks

SAF has never told Wenger that. Its Patrice Evra who once sayed after a Manutd v Arsenal game that it was Men v Boys.

Infact it was SAF who in 1995 was told by one Alan Hansen that 'He cant win anything with boys' after Manutd lost their first game to Aston Villa 3-1. In that game He featured at least 5 young unknown players.

Well SAF proved him wrong when Manutd finished the season winning the Double and the same players featured through out the season.

Its also the same Year that a very young Ajax team won the Champions league.

Earlier on Tuesday, Blues manager Roberto Mancini expressed his confidence the suspension would be overturned on the basis that Kompany did not foul Nani at the Etihad Stadium.

But an Independent Regulatory Commission has on Tuesday afternoon reached a different conclusion, ruling Kompany out of Wednesday night's Carling Cup semi-final with Liverpool.

"An Independent Regulatory Commission has today [Tuesday 10 January] dismissed a claim of wrongful dismissal from Manchester City's Vincent Kompany following his red card for Serious Foul Play in The FA Cup Third Round tie between Manchester City v Manchester United on 8 January 2012," said an FA statement.

"Kompany will serve a four-match suspension with immediate effect.

"The suspension consists of a statutory three-match suspension for Serious Foul Play plus one additional game given this is Kompany's second dismissal of the season."

In addition to Wednesday night's Carling Cup semi-final first leg, Kompany will also miss the return at Anfield in a fortnight, plus the Premier League encounters with Wigan and Tottenham in between.
