Seriously,is there anything wrong with marrying two wives,openly,loving both of them?

A buddy of mine is in such a fix. Loves two of them,honestly and seriously,doe not want to be unfaithful or anything,but currently,married to one.

I don't believe there anything wrong with polygamy. This mambo of one wife was imposed on us by the mzungu...and infact traditionally,marrying two or more wives was not for sexual purposes (as jungus think) but for sharing of domestic and farm chores around the homestead. I see nothing wrong,and tell ur buddy that he's not alone. i know someone in Donholm who's married to two chicks. ...each with his own hao in doni. He's opened for them hardware businesses to run individually and each drives a car...bought by the dude. And these are people around 32 years of age. It's all good,if all are adults and wamekubali. Nothing wrong at all.

...btw marriage of one woman to more than one man at a time=polyandry,is practised in some communities e.g in the Brazilian Amazon

I do not know,but I am not in a position to advise him. While I would want him to be faithful to God’s laws,I know that he loves both ladies so much. Though at time I have him mourning that he is no longer happy with his ‘official’ wife. Not that they quarrel or anything,they are quite happy and he loves her. But he gets no satisfaction or so I hear him once in a while complaining.

Is there a verse in the Bible he can use to stand on and get another wife and have two?

I get shocked when I hear people talk about love. Marry 2 wives if you want to but dont do it on pretence of love. Show me randomly chosen 5 couples of out of 10 who 20 years down marriage are still madly in love. Its just about interests,period!

Luttz ..youve just hit the nail on the top...its interests ....

Marry more than one wife at your own peril.....infact ruin.....

BTW you can easily die of hunger especially at old age...... you go to the first wife she says she thought you ate at the younger wife and so forth
