I have never understood why many wazuans are obsessed with this stock...what does it have to offer?
Pls do not bother with it. Not worth your time.

smile Guys, all stocks that have good dividend value any time has lower capital gain. If KK gave interim dividend of 0.57 cts while trading at 10 Kes means capital gain will be less as the stock can stagnate where it is getting more buyers/demand and supply play bigger role.
To me KK may come to 9 from now to 15th Jan to pick late buyers and may rise and stagnate to 13-15 Kes by end of Feb. If good politics, it may rise to 17!smilesmile

Just a little tidbit:

If you had 1 Kenol (as it was known then) share in June 2004 = 100 KK shares in Dec 2011

With falling Local pump prices Kenol Kobil is going to have a slow down in profits since they have expensive crude oil bought earlier. That is why they are slowly and quietly withdrawing their offer.Nowadays it is ksh.2 discount on Tuesdays and Sundays;the offer for Friday was removed.
Motorists are now starting to go to the other petrol stations. That offer they had is good when u have pump prices rising every month.
If oil prices continue falling in 2012 the profits would be lower than the 2011.

With K-card you have to wait till the end of the month to get your discount from the earned points and not instant discount.K-Card is an way of getting loyalty just like Nakumatt Smart card where u get points for every purchase u make and the points can then be redeemed.

So how many more k-cards can it be presumed to have been acquired through FY2011? How does that equate to mkt.share going-forward.

The bulk of motorists who fuel at kenol do not have K Cards and used to go there because of the discount.
