The Daily Nation article about the 8 bedroom palace that Mututho built gives legitimacy to some background check on Mr. Mututho.

When people talk about corruption they only think that it can only be perpetrated by someone who works in Government. People look at Mr. Mututho and see that he has no record of having worked for the government. He is a first time MP who was a businessman until he was elected to parliament in 2007. A hardworking businessman who makes it to parliament and while there only on his first term comes up with a monumental bill that will save millions of Kenyans from their drinking habits. He must be a nice guy and we should be happy for him at his 130 million shilling house built with imported everything.

I have nothing against people enjoying good things in life but when they choose to tell the world about it I think we have a right to ask, And where did the money come from? My answer in Mr. Mututho's case is , I do not know but I guess the Controller and Auditor General might have an idea.

In August 1999 the [Kenyatta National]Hospital entered into a contract with another firm for supply and fitting of window curtains and bedside screens at a contract sum of Kshs.58,883,897.50. However,a year and a half later in February 2001, the Board of Management approved a conversion of contract from supply and delivery of curtains to a civil works contract and gave it to the same contractor at Kshs.187,075,775.70. However, the details of the contract changes indicating the revised contract sum and period were not provided for audit. Review and in the circumstances, it was not possible to confirm that the Hospital got value for its money over the transaction. Although it has been indicated that the matter is under police investigation the outcome of the investigation has not been seen.

The Name of the Company:Countryside

Goodness, is there anyone who's clean?
Martha Karua? Raphael Tuju? Mutava Musyimi? Peter Kenneth? Eugene Wamalwa? Kalonzo Musyoka? Uhuru Kenyatta?
