Somebody tell Mr. Omar that, with all due respect, i, a kikuyu like any other, is suffering the same high prices of food, fuel, lack of cooking gas, low pay, traffic jams, the al shabaab threat, pains of a strong shilling, and everything else that my luo, kisii, luhya, somali neighbor may be experiencing.
Trying to insinuate that it was the kikuyu tribe that benefited from kibaki's regime is unfortunate because then, if this trend continues, some nut-head who decides not to think beyond the name will kill, maime, torch and destroy me, my family and property in the name of either "haki yetu" or "revenge" for the "inequality" in resource distribution.... not thinking that i had to endure the same things he/she went through without any extra benefits/help but my sweat!
I hope someone understands why i would be bitter if I am reflected in the light that Mr. Omar is trying to shed in the name of justifying who should or shouldnt be the next president. The other day, we heard it all in the political quarters about the small matter of "muslims" heading which and which government organ when we had some vetting going on ... did this guy come out and raise issues?

Anyhow, i completely agree with him when it comes to energy, security and finance ministries... i believe given the experience we had in 2007/2008 it would be unfortunate for any head of state to allow such to happen. A balance is clearly needed And if you dig deeper, you will realise that this is the case with all ministries depending on who is at the helm.... and even corporate companies in general...... still very unfortunate!
