@kula I thought your motto was "go for the cheapest". Was thinking you would be on Motorola c113 with simcards in your pocket or China twin sim but wow!!! You carry the best phones (which you hopefully bought at safcom including the ideos) and put phoney sims in them? Aren't some people full of contradictions.

My motto is go for value for money, but that doesn't stop me from enjoy the luxuries of life my friend...I work hard so I deserve some decent gadgets...

I bought the BB from Zain and the Iphone from apple, factory unlocked...

As for phoney sims, yes the iphone has a Safcom sim in it...but I use wifi more for surfing hence the tiny bills from safcon nowadays (last month was 100 bob).

As for contradictions, you sound bitter that I am not a Safcon sycophant. Dont worry, Im sure youll keep your job there...if youre "ethically" clean...LOL

@Kularaha, you believe in your mom eh. Ideos! Kwisha yeye

yes, my poor mum was using an antique Nokia so I treated her to a new phone. Walked into the Safcon shop and asked if the Ideos is unlocked, which they confirmed. I bought it, they didnt even try to sell me a sim card, how pathetic! ( Shes on Airtel...oooops)

Now I have a 1000 bob scratch card I cant use...I think Ill start a fund here with it for all those poor safcon defenders who'll soon be jobless...

Lets call it the Safcon Sycophant Fund, for non-ethical ex-employees.

SSFFNEE.

Gosh, if you have ever laid ur fingers on an iphone, then you'd know the real meaning of a touchscreen...This phone is more of a press screen. Not worth it at all.

Believe the target market for the Ideos is a bit different from the iphone, esp given their price difference here in Kenya.

I would think there are quite a few people out there who are finding it quite useful despite the shortcomings it may be having.

This phone is udeful to people that have computers so that one can use the USB cable to charge and such stuff. It wasn't meant for mwananchi wa kawaida.
