As they say cash is king. Maybe he's converting part of his shares to cash before the share dips further to avoid further losses and who knows, he might get in at an even lower price with the same cash and make profit even when the stock appreciate a little.

I also think he would still have made money if he sold all his shares now because he bought at lower prices than what the shares are going for now, though the profits would be much lower than if he had sold at 40 bob. Well! I don't know much about stock trading but that's my 'two cents worth' as someone else here is wont to say.

Why not make some little money even in the worst situation before what you call a bull comes running? Imagine if the sh.100 million he got for the 5 million shares at sh.20 a share bought the same equity shares at 10 bob. He will have 10 million shares(5 million shares more). Then just imagine the share went back to 20 bob, then he would have made an extra sh.100 million and that's not little money. Money can be made even during the worst of times..

But us kenyans like to twist things into what they arenot

@Eric_Nyamu i highly doubt that james mwangi wouldn't mind about how the price of equity share flactuates since that's what every investor should worry about. He might not be an investment banker, but he still cares for the share price of whatever share he's invested in. And i highly doubt he wouldn't want to make money out of his investment, that's why he invested in the first place.

I have two theories 1. JM being more of an entrepreneur than an investor has seen the 'next equity'. He is cashing his money to incubate it in the new venture. 2. Its December, time for bonuses... Did i hear yay? JM is expecting bonuses in share options to vest (at ridiculous low price) next year. If he exercises the options with current holdings he will go over the legal limit. Hence the sale... Kill two birds with one stone! Life is short. Live passionately.
