The advert in yesterday's Saturday Nation pp 31 said '57 metres of pride heading for Kenya' with the picture of a wing with a red cowl engine. In today's Sunday Nation pp 33 it says '4,400 cubic feet of pride approaching Kenya' again with the picture of a wing with the unmistakable red cowl.

KQ is definitely announcing the eminent arrival of something. Could it be the first dreamliner?

The the specs in the adverts closely mirror a dreamliner:

www.boeing.com/commercial/787family/787-8prod.html

Note that the length of a dreamliner is 57 metres and the cargo volune is 4,400 cubic feet.

I thought the first dreamliner was scheduled for 2013, have they done debt to finance?

They are just showing off the Dreamliner in an expensive exercise to get ready for the Rights Issue...

Unlikely to stem the tide of share price collapse. Why not wait for market to recover...

They are working on a pretty tight schedule.. They even have the pilots in training already..

Also the largest shareholders have commited themselves to this rights issue.. All they need now is an underwriter to insure the retail investors rights and they will be good to go..

@guru, a huge issue to underwrite. I expect an under subscription. Just bought 500 shares and if the offer price is less than 25, i will be applying for additional shares. Do you think this is a good strategy?

Yeah its a large issue but never underestimate the financial firms in Kenya.. they can also get multiple underwriters if they must..

Your straregy is definitely on point.. Ive done the exact same thing but with 100 shares only..
