That thing is very irritating. Anyone knows how to disable it? Kizuri cha jiuza kibaya cha jitembeza..... cheap comes with irritations..who else will they tell other than you for loading credit, cutting costs on advert expecting you to spread the good word thats the reason they keep reminding you. Remember the famous advert pika kwa k... was repeated in the same advert how many times... cholestrol tupu.... "a lie told many times becomes the truth" adolf hitler......

Im facing the same problem and im currently in south C.. its disastrous because I cant hold any calls.. Guru when you speak we listen..... but on this one please listen you will miss important calls which are not worth the free calling or purported savings... South C is close to their offices and that area has lots of thier BTSs.... that could be an issue with indoor coverage/new building came-up blocking the site or frequency interference... or worse removal of sites for installation elsewhere no money for new sites.....call Spanco sorry call customer care....

Stop complaining. You want German goods at Chinese/Indian pricing? You want a BMW but want to pay for a Tata/Foton? I use Airtel. Happy to do so. Better than Orange yet I pay 3/- across ALL networks. My choice. Though its the international calling that won me over. 3/- to UK/USA (& cheaper calls to EAC countries) vs Safaricom. I think Airtel is testing new 3G sites (no idea if it hurts quality). I use Safaricom for data, much better than the rest, but I will give Airtel a trial run if pricing is right. Greedy when others are fearful. ITU Standard Telcom-operations, tests are not carried on live traffic..... they have either installed it already and its having teething issues and someone cant make a decision to roll back which means they fire fight or they have real network issues at certain BSCs around Westlands and South C.

Use Skype you will save even more, plus you will have a choice of video, sound and video quality is very good at a fraction of a price or rather at the data rates costs. its nice cause mtaonana its not nusu ya kuoanana

the targtet markets for YU, AIRTEL, ORANGE AND SAFare quite different.YU must be targeting the target market of people under the age of 25 years (with lots of lurvy durvy stories to gossip about). Airtel is for the price sensitive market, trying to take the entire using pricing as the only driver of competition. Safaricom is still buoyed by its first generation of subscribers who bought phones while they were status symbols. Its quality products and innovativeness have secured its market and is capable of exercising monopolistic behaviour coz of its superior marketing mix. Orange, except for its data is quite undecided what it wants to do.

My beef with them is the message they send at the end of each call to show your available balance. How can one remove it? I have called customer care, numerous times have been promised that IT will disable it in half an hour, tweeted them to no avail. Anyone knows how to sort it out?

The day the 'Indians' started instituting Indian strategies & flying in their own guys to do it, that's the day that company started strangling itself. Rumour has it that it might be back in the sale market sooner than guys think to the extent there is a go slow of sorts by the employees. @Sufficiently Philanga....thropic, I don't want that info for 2 reasons.
1. My Nokla give's call info after each call, 2. I'm fairly liberal with my phone and you can imagine what the clan does after using it and noticing there's a loose thao on the phone....

Lolest! wrote:Cant call safcom from my airtel line. I may have to use saf though they are more expensive. your timing isn't that good. There was a problem even with safaricom on-net calls and text messages because of the christmas eve communication. I doubt if Saf would allow another network on board their already overcongested system. African parents don't know how to say sorry.. the closest you will get to a sorry is a 'have you eaten'
