Did he hear something the teacher said that I missed?
Is he more blessed?

WHATEVER IT IS, he's worth learning from!

Boss,he does nothing special!!!Ask Henry Ford....hire those who know-researchers included and pay them well!!!

But surely, if he's doing no thing special, then everyone ought to make same level of achievement in their own field?
Something about his personality, his network, and of course the hard skills I reckon. Can't be ordinary - otherwise he would not be at the helm of such a firm?

@ Mpazi @ Miser, this is what the richest man in Babylon said/did..- Follow wise mans advice

The Fourth Law of Gold

Gold slippeth away from the man who invests it in businesses or purposes with which he is not familiar or which are not approved by those skilled in its keep.

To the man who hath gold, yet is not skilled in its handling, many uses for it appear most profitable. Too often these are fraught with danger of loss, and if properly analyzed by wise men, show small possibility of profit. Therefore, the inexperienced owner of gold who trusts to his own judgment and invests it in business or purposes with which he is not familiar, too often finds his judgment imperfect, and pays with his treasure for his inexperience. Wise, indeed is he who investeth his treasures under the advice of men skilled In the ways of gold."

The Fifth Law of Gold

Gold flees the man who would force it to impossible earnings or who followeth the alluring advice of tricksters and schemers or who trusts it to his own inexperience and romantic desires in investment.

"Fanciful propositions that thrill like adventure tales always come to the new owner of gold. These appear to endow his treasure with magic powers that will enable it to make impossible earnings. Yet heed ye the wise men for verily they know the risks that lurk behind every plan to make great wealth suddenly. "Forget not the rich men of Nineveh who would take no chance of losing their principal or tying it up in unprofitable investments.

Give credit where credit is due. Researchers only give you info and data. But it's for you to act. And if it's as easy as you put it then why isn't everyone doing it and getting the same results?
People say that Steve Jobs only came up with ideas and other people executed them but hey, who do you credit with building and growing Apple?

So well done Mworia!

BBI will solve it

I remember in the late 90's, Strathmore's McFie telling us that Mworia is one man to watch. Very sharp guy, used to get awards CPA, CIMA, etc. Even as you give credit to his team, I beleive he also deserves some.

What I wanna know is... how much of the 'gain' shown is from 'unrealized gains' from Real Estate...

With interest rates rising in Uganda & Kenya, not many will or can borrow to buy houses or properties thus the demand will drop = lower valuations for the properties!

The number of people borrowing to acquire real estate in EA is neglible and the level of housing demand continues to rise with the population housing mismatch..

The number of total mortgage holders in kenya is only 15,500... Thats less than the number of students in UON.. smile

I dont see how interest rate hikes will affect housing valuations for EA...

Sawa... let's wait & see... *shrugs* best thing is to look at defaults or restructuring...

It is a lie to say (many) folks do not borrow to buy land/properties in Kenya. If not from banks, then family, then friends, then SACCOs, then informal sources...

Sawa lets revisit property a year from now...
They will be higher despite high interest rates..

What's the underlying asset we use? There are no share prices, etc...

Isnt there a property index of some kind in kenya?? This should be sufficient for our argument..
