If not then you jamaa colleagues r friendly with you and not with her. Ama umeget attention ya someone who used to give attention to her?
Thirdly, maybe you are being picked and dropped by a hubby/ boyfie who has a bigger car than hers or her hubby's. Or he is so hot so she is envious.
Or r you driving a bigger car yourself?
If its jealous coming out of things different from work you maybe better off going to the older department.
But try your best with your job, and keep the boss in the know periodically and work hard to be the best.
Wish u all the best.

I may sound chauvinistic but I have observed that many women can handle responsibility very well but not power! Something womanish just gets in the way.. It could be anything, looks, dressing, cars, attention anything! Once you understand that, then you can adjust yourself accordingly.

@ Blackcobra - Judge yourself honestly. If you r working as u shud, reporting/communicating as u shud and being respectful to your superiors as you shud then u r Ok. The problem is with your boss, she may have Low self esteem- considering u suggested the new dept n not her. Keep working hard and honestly with time someone above her will notice the work you do. Keep working.

Believe me, if your boss is frustrating you instead of helping you or doing his/her work it's because he/she is threatened by you. So maybe you should take it as a compliment and if the harassment goes overboard then it's time to escalate it to her head and even resign.

BBI will solve it

Thanks all for the bright ideas. First things first...
1. I am a woman and my boss s a woman
5. She is not worth any rudeness.... nor fight from me... i cant stoop that low. Maybe she wants to push me to the wall and see how far i can get.
6. She keeps reminding that the senior boss is saying that i do not work. I know the senior boss too well to know that's a lie... he can communicate to me directly.

I am left with 1 option... avoiding her completely, including not attending any meetings which she s in......

Outcome: the operations are paralyzed!!!!

God just needs to come personally before i lose it all!!!!

@Blackcobra

You seem to have an attitude problem. For a woman/girl, calling yourself blackcobra right here is a sign of engraved attitude problems within you. You are suppressing your femininity and trying to be hardheaded. That will take you nowhere. Use of intelligence gives better results instead of attitudes.

Avoiding an individual cauze you have clashed at the work place is a sign of immaturity on your part. It means you cannot make a good mother for your children, not compatible with a marriage partner and simply so much into yourself you need to outsource your spiritual, career and social needs.

Do what your boss is asking you to do and see if you will die.

You want God to come to you personally? God gave you intelligence to solve most of the problems human beings are likely to encounter. Use it and God will be pleased with you. God is too busy having to deal with the evil men do in the world to have time for a wining girl in a woman's body.

I have no ill feelings towards a sister. So, for a worthwhile cause, search for the book, "The Peter Principle" By Lawrence Peter and Raymond Hull. You will be greatfull to came here where school of hard knocks has taught us something no one will ever offer for free.

Wisdom to detect when share prices hit rock bottom.
When interest on bonds keep going up, you know the bear run is on high street. When interest on bonds start leveling, the bear has met the bull and they have hit rock bottom. When the interest rates on bonds start coming down, the bull has overpowered the bear and you better be riding the bull.

So she should call herself "miss preety in pink dress" to prove she does not have an attitude problem? Shame on you Shame on you Shame on you

I agree with @Kaka M, it could be a problem with your boss. As someone has stated sometimes women and power are not good combinations

Zero-tolerance to public humiliation is lesson 1 in human resource management. If you have given us all the facts, I would advise you to feel free to call your boss out on this matter, hapo amekosa adabu!

"This is someone who enjoys belittling me in front of everyone"

SHE created the department. You suggested its creation BUT she created it. She holds ultimate responsibility for it to the organization, to the other employees and to herself. You just head it.

SHE is, therefore, going to judge your performance on HER terms using HER parameters and when you do not meet these terms or parameters, she is going to reprimand you on HER terms.

Should you ultimately fail, you will find yourself back in your old department as the best case scenario or out of a job in the worst case scenario.

To say that she enjoys belittling you in public is therefore a sign of poor judgement on your part, in my opinion. SHE wants results and if "belittling you is public" is what gets results from you, she will belittle you in public.

So, my dear, stop whining and get down to business making that department out-perform all the other departments and then you will come back and tell us that you have been asked to form another department.

For the record, I have three lady superiors and when I mess up, take it from me, belittling in public is putting it very mildly what happens to me.

@cobra, what u say is a common thing among ladies. I see it all the time. In my previous place of work, i had a woman boss who detested my female co-workers bt enjoyed a strong rapport with me and my male co-workers. If u ever crossed her path in any way, real or imagined, that'd be your end..you'd top the list of pple going home. What i know is, never show ua boss that you are better than her. Be it in dressing, car, shoes, anything. Don't ever engage her to win. Look longterm and avoid winning against her. With ladies, be close to her, win her confidence whatever it takes...whatever ethical it takes.

Mr Mathenge, you obviously have never worked under an insecure sadistic boss. You can work yourself to death, but that will only increase the insecurity and sadism. What you are proposing is a** licking!!!

On the contrary, kind sir, I have worked in four organizations and in all of them I have, and continue to, report to a woman boss.

One thing stands out. She is the boss. For whatever reason, be it her education, her experience, or who she slept with to get where she is, SHE is the boss.

Most of my fellow employees suffer from what I call Male chauvinism where men believe they cannot be commanded by a mere woman and the ladies, well, you have the Saturday Nation article.

What I have come to discover is that if you are a performer on the section that she is the boss and results are required and she cannot perform everything by herself, then the need for sadism and ass licking that you so eloquently allude to does not arise.

Take it from me. I have been there.
