Arsenal is coming along nicely, now with positive goal difference for the first time this season, tied with Liverpool on points. On paper Arsenal has slight easy fixture list till mid December when they face Man City. If not complacent they can rake up the points and reduce the gap. Spurs may be potentially 6points ahead if they win their games in hand. Newcastle still performing wonders even without my favourite player Chiek Tiote but a tough fixture list awaits with Man City, Man U, Chelsea so lets wait and see where they will be after that.

@safariant. I agree with you. newcastle havent faced a real test this season. You realise that is it only machester united that has tested the other big boys. By end of december we shall be having the standings the way it is supposed to be.

*** I wouldnt be that happy if i was a Man U fan. Man U has played 4 of the top 7 at home so 2nd leg will play away @ Spurs, Chelsea, Arsenal, Man City not easy fixtures. Arsenal has played away @ Spurs, Newcastle, Man U & Chelsea, only left with Man City. 2nd leg will have home fixture against the 4. Should they learn not to lose against big teams then top 4 finish will be a foregone conclussion. But all that is on paper, Man City at the moment look invincible, the team has real fighting spirit. Their game last night was entertaining. On the bench they had Nasri, Clichy & Toure all ex-gunners, Balotelli, De Jong, Adam Johnson, & even Tevez and suspended Kompany. Thats an impressive squad. How & where do they drop points? Currently at 31 points of a possible 33.

Why are people making soccer analysis to become such a difficult task? If team A plays ten home games and win all of them and another team, say team B plays ten away matches and loses all of them, why wouldn't team A be happy? Conversely why would team B be happy just because of forthcoming home matches? Pliiiiiiz!! And who said there is a guarantee of victory whenever a team plays at home? MY TAKE....This season, asenane will not top the log even for an hour......This you can take to the nearest bank.

First off, at least Nobby got his prediction right on Arsenal beating West Brom by 3-0, what should impress the fans is the clean sheet. Almost got the Fulham Spurs prediction right till Defoe added a 3rd with the last kick of the match, but spurs were lucky, should have conceded a penalty when they were 2-1 up. After watching our game against Sunderland where a Wes Brown own goal gifted us 3 points, all I can say is thank God we were not playing City during the 25th anniversary of SAF's tenure. But what a pleasant way to honour him, naming the North Stand after him. This team from the blue half is starting to worry me now, beacuse they have started grinding out wins where last season they could only muster draws. When they don't dominate a match they still win which is what happened against QPR. That's the quality of winners and for now remain the greatest threat to retaining the cup. Newcastle will be beaten by Man City and Man United (just like Levante lost 2 on the trot)by I fancy them getting a draw at home to Chelsea. Hope they can remain up there to thorw a spanner in the works. In other news, Messi salvaged a draw in injury time against Athletic Bilbao, they're now 3 points adrift of Real

I think if man city can maintain the 5 point lead till end of year, I guess they'll run away with the title. Gunners cruised to a very comfortable win, what will westbrom having just 1 shot on target. Stand out performer to me was Arteta. Man u ground out a result even without playing anywehere near good enough. With that kind of performance in the future, am worried City may not be offered much competition. Chelsea just did enough. What happened to Liverpool, draw at home to Swansea? Me thinks 4th spot will be a dog fight between Spurs and gunners..

After what i've seen in the last 4 or 5 matches i think Arsenal will finish higher than just 4th. Just take a look at the November fixtures involving the top teams, most of them face each other. Man City play Newcastle while Chelsea take on Liverpool....following weekend sees L'fools play Man City while Man Utd host Newcastle. I know you can never write off the likes of Norwich, Wigan and Fulham but i still think we have fairly easy matches coming up. Come January we'll have a very strong team with Sagna and Wilshere (probably Diaby too)coming back from injury. Our backline seems to be ok especially with Vermaelen back to his best. I also expect Wenger to sign one more creative midfielder this January so the team will be strong enough in the second half of the season....thank God Cameroon didn't qualify for the AFCON 2012 because Song has really been one of our stand out players this season.

Arsenal will probably finish position three this season.Based on the last three matches ( comparing Arsenal and chelsea),gunners have proved solid perfomances unlike the blues. Spurs and Newcastle will finish fifth and 7th respectively. Wilshere will be back in February,Diaby in December an probably sign a creative midfielder in January. This means Gervinho position will be well covered even when Park gets an English football pace.
