They will only close Aerodrome road kesho and sunday, I liked that Muthee said their ambition is for Kenya to be included in the IRB circuit by 2015, this is part of the eason the safaricom 7s will be held at Nyayo, a national stadium!!!!

I'm at the stadium now. I parked at All Saints and waited for the shuttle that never came. I then drove to West and parked there, leaving my car to the perils and dangers of Nairobi.

Security in the stadium is tight but friendly, G4S are doing most of it with a smuttering of 'the boys'.

The field looks good but I'm wondering how it will be on match day 3 especially if the rains open.

Nyayo is a nice place, problem is there is no warmup area so teams are sharing the small area behind the dead ball area, manouvering round the steeplechase water jump.

Why didn't they use Kasarani which has plenty of parking and would have minimal interruption to traffic?

Is Kasarani really complete after the renovations? Plus am imagining the commuting...

@Gordon, it's a pity that the free shuttles was all a hoax!

Was searched 5 times. Good security. Kudos to iteere, he left nothing to chance on such an important int'l event. He also cancelled the after party disco, in order to fully open Langata road. I think I have already adjusted to al shebab BS.

True, the shuttles were not a hoax, they were just not available on day 1, I presume because they expected that day to be for school teams and school fans. I saw them yesterday and today.

Biggest disappointment of the tournament was the garbage. The place was never cleaned up especially after day 2 when there cans and cans of beer, broken bottles in the stands, paper flags, empty dasani PET bottles discarded all over.

Crowd was very good and celebratory - only disappointment was the evident lack of mzungus who normally grace RFUEA grounds but stayed away this time.

Game wise, Kenya will struggle this season, leadership seemed to be missing in the post Khayange era. A new leader needs to emerge and lead the troops.

Meantime Muthee, Nyayo was a good experiment, but I honestly think nothing beats Quins. Kasarani should not even cross your mind. Also do something about the ticket mess. Alot of mafans could not get tickets even from Nakumatt across the road. Also do something about having match programmes. For the expenditure I incurred over the three days on match tickets, the least I would have expected was a programme, which can be a souvenir programme on which I can collect autographs of the stars (including the Uganda girls smile)

the match is an important one. If at all roads are closed for a single soccer match 'semejis' with an attendance of 15k why not do so for 19k

Fellows were quick to start throwing jabs at Ayimba, it'd gonna be easy for our home team, hata kushinda Auckland in the quarters required some luck in added time!!!
