I am experiencing very interesting phenomena with these guys. Most of my channels play like a scratched CD. Only one, 108 is very clear and consistent. It began with SonyMax, NatGeo, DiscW, sasa it has spread to all the rest hata citizen. Anyone else experiencing this?

Check dis repointing, maybe it has tilted, though this happens alot on rainy days and then gets back to normal

Blame it on the rains, if you got a 90cm dish, then you are on Ku band which gets affected by rain(rain fade). Also, DSTV signals are beamed from W7 satellite but different transponders so that could be related to specific transponders being down.
If the problem persists, try re-aligning the dish if no much change, guess your LNB has partially failed hence cant receive certain frequencies.

Disclaimer:
I dont work for DSTV but Dr. Google is a good friend.

You mean doing the channel rescan after you switch the decoder off then on? Did yours give the message 'signal lost... do not switch off decoder while it attempts to blablabla..' after holding up the scratched picture for a while?

Had the same problem when I had DSTV (cant afford it anymore) and the solution by an unregistered estate electrician was to replace the cable from the dish to the decoder. It became as clear as HD. Apparently the cable was over 6 years old.
