In terms of cost implication; I do not see much difference charging fare in Kshs at the prevailing dollar exchange rate and paying the actual dollars. Maybe the hustle of buying the physical currency. http://www.nation.co.ke/...4/-/etibcq/-/index.html

The initial decision to have local flights in KES was more of a sovereign decision than a biz one in IMO. Thus, KQ didn't just wake up the other day and realise that its biz needs USDs to run. If my shopkeeper sold me milk in USDs and I thought it was nothing but noise then my analytical mind could be questioned.
