1. Cech is no longer the cech we knew.
2. AVB has introduced a high defensive line for Chelsea and with their slow players, they seem to struggle
3. Szczesny is a good shot stopper but makes rather suspect decisions on the pitch.
4. The 50m white elephant is just that.
5. RVP is grossly underrated. If he can keep fit, then he is closer to the 50M valuation
I'm with you on all counts @Marty except No.4, Torres of old has shown signs of coming back with intermittent flashes of brilliance and when he does, he'll be devastating.
There's absolutely no one who gave Arsenal a chance at the bridge, I think only one Arsenal fan had the balls to predict a 2-3 scorline in their favour and even then you could see it was more of optimism than certainty.
Without taking anything away from Arsenal (scoreline could have been 7-3 at least), Chelsea's defense was absolutely pathetic and Arsenal's was also not that superior, I believe the English teams will have a very hard time in CL when paired against full strength Barca, Real or Bayern - yes, even my very own Man Utd.
I was happy to see the way Cleverley made an impact in our game before he was taken off, I hope he'll just be off for another couple of weeks - Smalling and Young both have toe injuries hence their absence. De Gea made a terrific save with his face, saving face in the process. 3 points is all that mattered that weekend.
In other news, Leo Messi gestuured to the cameras that he'd score a hat trick after scoring the first goal for Barca through a penalty and then promptly proceeded to do exactly that in half an hour.
Levante lost their first game this season and Neuer kept his 9th clean sheet this season.
