Hey all:

Am looking at these 2 as options on buying a new car.
Any advise, opinions, thoughts on the 2 options will help me make the decision.

Thanks in advance

Why? Does it have an age detector cut-out?

BBI will solve it

Depends with where you are going to take your rig! Subaru has standard AWD (All Wheel Drive)-X-Trail doesn't! Both are good compact SUVs..I'd go for Forester, personally!

a Subaru for me! however if you are using it in Nairobi take care of kanju because if the vehicle is towed by those breakdown guys who assume that all small vehicles are fwd then you will be in trouble. This messes up the awd and gearbox by extension.

If you are below 29 and choose the Subaru, It may kill you before your are 30. The speed plus the exuberance of youth plus additives such as alcohol = short lifespan

@ Robinhood, very true especially if its a first car.

Personally I would go for Subaru, lovely machine.

Interesting folks. ,Xtrail is also good but its more of a family car.

Subaru forester especially the newer model is very economical on fuel.

I would pick the Xtrail any day. Reason being the Forester XT is turbo charged so comparing its fuel economy to the Xtrail is a no brainer. Spares of the Forester vs Xtrail is also another benefit. Third the Xtrail has selectable 4wd so you can run in town on 2wd and save fuel and also do amazing offroad when you need it.
